It’s national Oreo day and what better way to celebrate than with a quick and delicious recipe made with America’s most beloved cookie?! This Oreo milkshake is the perfect mixture of creamy goodness and has just three ingredients: milk, ice cream, and you guessed it, Oreos!
The secret to making the perfect milkshake is in the thickness. It’s really chalked up to personal preference but I prefer my milkshakes nice and thick. If you make it too thin, well then you’ve got yourself a smoothie.
The first step to getting the right thickness is the ice cream. Let it sit out for a few minutes so it softens and is easy to scoop. If it’s too hard then you’ll add too much milk, thinning it out. I personally prefer to use frozen yogurt as it’s already soft and in my opinion, creamier.
What you need:
- 2 cups of vanilla icecream
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 package of Oreos
- Whipped cream
